Planted Sustainable Design Festival

June 2023

Richmond Bell Architects sponsor Planted Sustainable Design Festival

RBA are excited to be taking part in sustainable design festival Planted Country this weekend.

This celebration of nature-based sustainable design includes a programme of talks from a variety of experts. A botanical market showcasing brands and businesses who place nature and the environment at their core stands alongside. There is also the opportunity to take part in woodland walks, nature-based workshops and enjoy seasonal, locally sourced food.

Here at RBA, sustainable design is important to us. We consider the environment in all projects we work on, by incorporating renewable energy strategies and through ecologically sound technology. We are therefore sponsoring a talk on Biophilic Design and Climate Change, the first in the ‘Cool Design, Sustainable Futures’ series of talks.  Biophilic design expert Oliver Heath is chairing the talk. Guest panellists include Hugo Bugg, who was recently awarded best in show at RHS Chelsea this year. Also speaking are James Scully, founder of ReCorkUK and Vanessa Champion from the Journal of Biophilic Design.

Planted Country runs from 10am-5pm, Friday 9th-Sunday 11th June at Stourhead National Trust, Wiltshire. The RBA team are looking forward to attending and hope to see you there!

Tickets are available from the Planted website, with entry free for National Trust Members.
